Wood

Photos of bark and logs which I hope illustrate the grain and texture of wood.

Beach, Iceland

These are two photos of some flotsam on a beach taken whilst waiting for a ferry to Vestmannjaer off the Iceldandic coast

The beach was covered in rich, dark volcanic sand mixed with fine gold grains of "normal" sand, which formed wonderful patterns of black and yellow:
